Don’t miss the travel tips at the end! Barbados is a beautiful island and an excellent vacation spot. It is one of the best islands in the Caribbean. Money The currency is Barbados is the Barbados dollar or the Bajan. It is 1.98 the US dollars. So basically $20 Barbados is about $10 US, give or take a little. Cost of Goods Items and services in Barbardos are not cheap. They are about the equivalent of items or services in the US. A nice dinner for two with wine will run you $100 US. Souvenirs are $20 - $35 for t-shirts, $10-14 for towels, mugs, etc. Natuarally, as it is almost anywhere you travel, the domestic goods are much cheaper than imported items. Traveling To and From and While in Barbados When you arrive in Barbados at the airport and claim your bags you will walk out of the terminal to buses, taxis and shuttle transport. It is best to pre-arrange a shuttle to and from your hotel. The taxi ride from the airport will run $20-60 depending on the distance to your hotel and size of taxi you require. The shuttle will charge for surfboard bags and some other large oversized items. Do not pay more than $5. If you rent a car it will be about $50-60 per day. Don’t let anyone charge you more than that. If you are from the US and you are planning to rent a car while in Barbados keep in mind you will have to drive the car. This may sound simple but the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car and the cars drive on the wrong side of the rode. This takes a little getting used to but also serves as quite an adventure! Dress Barbados is a British colonized island and therefore embraces the British conservatism in dress. The dress during the day is casual, tropical travel beach attire. At night and for dinner the men wear pants and collared shirts and the ladies where dresses and skirts. Due to the weather it is best if they are lightweight materials. The Barbadians, or Bajans as they are more commonly referred to on the island, dress business casual most of the time. In the city business dress is the norm for locals and there are many men in ties and even jackets. When dressing to go shopping beach attire is not appropriate. Bathing suits and swim wear are reserved for beaches and beach bars. Dining There are some great restaurants in Barbados. The Cliff restaurant is one of the nicest restaurants on the island. The view, as you can imagine for the name, is gorgeous. The restaurant is located in the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. In St. Lawrence Gap, Bellini’s is great. It is right inside a cove with small boats and is amazing at sunset. The salmon is my favorite. Most hotels will have a book of restaurants on the island in their lobby area or with the concierge desk. It will have a picture of the restaurant and the menu with prices. This is a great way to pick some places you would like to eat at during your stay. Hotels There is a wide range of hotels to choose from. It all depends on how much you want to spend. Budget If you are looking for a bargain, try the Sandy Bay Beach Club. The hotel itself is nice enough, 3 star. But the staff is very friendly and helpful and the beach out front of the hotel is possibly the best on the island. It is all-inclusive so all meals, alcohol, gratuities and non-motorized sports activities are included. This makes it an excellent deal. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style and there is a snack bar for in-between times. Dinner is your choice of buffet style dinner or 5-course dinner in the dining room, reservations are required. They will tell you they are booked for the dining room when you ask but you can always get in. Just ask when you can come in and see if there has been a cancellation or if you can try coming at last seating which is at 8:30pm. You can scuba, kayak and paddle boat and it is all included. Massage for an hour in the spa is only $65. For $5 you can have a giant umbrella staked in the sand by your lounge chairs. The activities center offer a $50 Turtle and Shipwreck snorkel trip. It is a great boat ride and a really reasonable cost. If you try booking this hotel use www.cheapcarribean.com and you may get an even better deal. Moderate The Hilton is a gorgeous hotel located on a peninsula, so the view out of every window is crystal blue water. This hotel has all the amenities, valet, room service, scuba excursions, restaurants, bars, spa, pool, children’s programs, everything you might need. The rooms range from $450 - $1500 per night. It is a beautiful hotel and if you have some money to spend on a nice vacation this is the resort to choose. You actually don’t even need to leave the hotel much. You have the views, pool, and beaches while having all the amenities of the hotel only steps away. Expensive Sandy Lane Hotel is the place to stay if cost is not a concern. It is the site of Tiger Woods wedding and is breathtaking. This hotel is stunning. It is by far the most luxurious hotel on the island. You name it and it’s done. Spa, golf, horse back riding, 5 star dining, concierge service, luxury sedan from the airport. They will have it or find it for you. The children have a summer camp style center called the Tree House Club. It is a kids dream with arts and crafts, movies, pool time. It also always parents some alone time on the vacation. They also have a Den for teenagers to enjoy away from the parents and little ones. Room rates range from $850 – 10,000 per night. Attractions Snorkeling with the Turtles & Shipwreck Catamaran and boat snorkel trips are offered all over the island. The Snorkel Turtle trip was nice but you may or may not see turtles in the water. Keep your eye out because you may see some from the boat. The shipwreck snorkeling is beautiful. There are a ton of color fish and clear water. There is an old shipwreck and then a newer man made shipwreck where they sunk a party boat, not as authentic, but draws some exotic sea life. Wild Life Reserve If there is one thing you get out and do in Barbados go to the Wild Life Reserve. It is on the North end of the island and you can take the 4x4 Adventure Tour, taxi or rental car. It is $13 US admission cost and it is worth 3 times the price. When you walk in there are large turtles everywhere. The reserve has no cages in the main area. Only the snakes, gigantic python and iguana’s are caged in a separate area. The monkeys, rabbits, and other wild life run free. The reserve is heavily shaded with rain forest looking trees and vines that hang and provide swinging tools for the monkey. You walk through the reserve on brick paths. There is even a crocodile in a pond, with high rock walls so it can’t escape. It is a unique experience and something not to be missed. Atlantis Submarine Excursion If you choose to do the submarine excursion book this on www.magicaljourneys.com. They offer discounts including some two for one booking deals. That means $90 for two people instead of $180. Other attractions on the island include a rum tasting tour, exploring caves, golfing and horseback riding. IMPORTANT TRAVEL TIPS: - Check the weather before travel so you know how to pack - Search www.cashunclaimed.com to see if you have unclaimed money owed to you that can add extra money to your travel budget. - Use travelers cheques. If they are lost or stolen they can usually be replaced within 24 hours, from virtually anywhere in the world by most banks, service establishments and by a large number of merchants - Do not leave valuable in your hotel room or if you do opt for activating and using the safe in the closet. - Do not call home from the hotel room. There are shops you can go in and dial from their computer, use a handset to talk and call home for $0.50 per minute. The hotel will charge you $5.00-35.00 to connect you and then $2.90-7.90 per minute! If you use your cell phone it may cost you $2-$5 per minute. - Travel with great people and HAVE FUN!

Park City Utah Winter Activities

Park City Utah Winter Activities
As with many ski towns, Park City was originally established as a mining town. In the 1860’s, flocks of people moved here to pursue riches in silver mining. At this time the streets were lined with saloons and featured a very popular red-light district. In the 1930’s mineral prices fell due to the depression, and the town felt the effect. Business collapsed and the population dwindled. Over time things got better and in 1963 Park City Consolidated Mines built the first chairlift on what was then known as Treasure Mountain. At this time, $3.50 would get you a weekend pass to go skiing and sledding. Times have changed a bit since then, but the skiing is still world-class, and the town offers many cultural events and festivals. Now that you have a little history of the town, let’s take a look at what there is to do during the winter months. Skiing and snowboarding is by far the most popular, but there are many other winter activities to be enjoyed. Skiing and Snowboarding Park City offers three distinct choices for your skiing or snowboarding vacation. Deer Valley Ski Resort offers 1,750 acres of skiable terrain with a vertical drop of 3,000 feet. On average Deer Valley receives about 300 inches of snow per year. It features 19 lifts, and 88 trails with the longest trail traveling 10,560 feet. This resort was rated #1 by Ski Magazine in 2001 and 2005. Although the terrain is great and the runs are endless, Deer Valley does not allow snowboarders. Skiers of all types can enjoy this wonderful mountain resort. The resort opened in 1981, and ever since then, it prides itself on providing high quality service both on and off the mountain. The next resort on the list happens to be the largest ski and snowboard resort in Utah. The Canyons Resort features 3,700 amazing acres of skiable terrain, with 200 + acres opening for the 2006/2007 season. Choosing Domain Names – Hyphens or Not?

Choosing Domain Names – Hyphens or Not?
Choosing a good domain name is one of most important steps in setting up your online business, but it’s getting harder and harder to find good names that are still available. You could use a domain name with hyphens, but is that really a good idea?

Let’s quickly review what makes a good domain name. A domain name needs to be relevant, easy to remember, keyword optimized, and free from trademark conflicts. It should also be shorter. Although seven characters or less is ideal, you may have to settle for a domain name that’s a little longer.

So you’ve just set up your new barbecue grills business and now you discover that barbecuegrills.com is already taken. Should you consider hyphenating the domain name to barbecue-grills.com or should you go back to the drawing board?

The first choice should always be to take the name without a hyphen. Having established that, there are some exceptions. Let’s look at hyphenated domain names and when they are might be good to use.

Domains with hyphens can sometimes be a good idea if you really want certain words in your domain name but all the domains without hyphens are already taken.

Another reason to use a hyphen is when the words you plan to use are harder to read without the hyphen. The domain hotellamps.com is harder to read than hotel-lamps.com. That is not necessarily a great domain name but it does serve to illustrate the point that some domains are easier to read with a hyphen.

You might also consider using hyphens for search engine optimization. Some people suggest that using hyphens helps the search engines to distinguish your keywords better. This may be a good option for webmasters whose primary goal is to optimize their sites for traffic from natural search engine rankings. The only catch here is that this could change over time since search engines are constantly adjusting their search algorithms.

Incidentally, if you decide not to use hyphens in your domain name, watch out for any unintended double meanings that might be embarrassing. To illustrate this point a couple of fairly suspicious domain names are therapistfinder.com and molestationnursery.com. In case you are wondering the latter was reportedly the domain for the Mole Station Native Nursery based in New South Wales, Australia, although it seems, fortunately, to have moved.

Whatever reason you have for using a hyphen in your domain name, it would be good to remember one thing. Some people will forget the hyphen when they type your domain name. So whenever you invest in promoting your site, some lucky webmaster who owns the un-hyphenated version of your domain is going to get some free traffic, courtesy of your hard work.

As you can see, there are some situations when using a hyphen in your domain name may be a good decision.

Imagine All Children Succeeding

Imagine All Children Succeeding
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. – Albert Einstein

Another successful NLP For Kids day, and again I am amazed at how the quantity and quality of bursts of unsolicited laughter from a group of children, can ripple uproariously through a room, out the door and flow into a hotel lobby, causing some very serious looking adults to exchange looks of curiosity, followed by everything from shy smiles to echoed laughter, and once again I am reminded, “Through the Joy of a Child, Change is Possible”.

Where will all the new ideas come from if there is no imagination? More and more parents are pushing children, to do more, and learn more, because the parent believes this is how the child will get ahead.

Guess what? The child has a head, and filling it with ever changing facts and statistics can be much more useful when balanced with creativity, imagination and laughter.

I have worked with some of the top athletes. These athletes are highly skilled. They practice precise movements to assist in achieving the perfect shot, score or routine. So where did imagination come into play.

First, right at the very beginning. They imagined they would become a great athlete. Second, when they were practicing. They learned to take a moment and imagine making the perfect shot, stroke or pattern before they began each practice. Some also imagine the success, fame and glory and then try it on, to experience the feel and fit, using their imagination.

How many times have you put on a new outfit and imagined the compliments you will be receiving? “I look good! I can hear the compliments flowing. And I feel great!”

A new year is about to begin, it will be 2007 soon. Have your children imagine the celebration of an excellent year. Allow them to describe it in detail include all aspects of the celebration and everything they are celebrating, their birthday, a great report card, a fun summer. Encourage your child to be outrageous as they create the celebration. Have everyone write a personal version of the celebration, and their role, in the celebration, on colorful pieces of paper. Go ahead and enjoy the fun and laughter. One child chose to celebrate while skating the rings of Saturn! I’m bringing the music!

Why it pays to value your valuables!

Why it pays to value your valuables!
Picture the scene, you get home after the perfect holiday and open your suitcase and unpack. Only then do you question, "Where did I put the camcorder? I’m sure I packed it alongside the souvenirs or did I?" "Not to worry, I’ll claims against the travel insurance". But this is where it can all come unstuck because most insurers put restrictions on items, such as photographic equipment, and lump them under the disarming term, ‘valuables’. And it doesn’t stop there as this term includes many other articles, some which you would expect to be looked upon as a valuable item, such as jewellery and watches, but can also include such everyday items as spectacles, sunglasses, mobile phones, MP3 players and more. You name it, and if it is an attractive and fashionable item, then you can bet that, for insurance purposes, it will be grouped into the valuables definition.

It doesn’t stop there because your money, travel documents, passports, credit cards will all also come under the stricter care rules that are applied to ‘valuables’. So returning to the camcorder, most travel insurance policies will not pay up if it looks like negligence on your part. For example, valuable items packed into your hold luggage are rarely covered because theft from unattended baggage will invariably be excluded. If you can prove that the items were with you or locked in your hotel accommodation then insurers will probably pay out but they may ask for further information, such as the circumstances of the loss or theft and a police report or hotel report to back up your story.

Highly valuable items, such as money and jewellery, will always be expected to be locked away in a hotel safe or safety box when not on your person; inside a locked suitcase inside a locked hotel room is rarely good enough for the travel insurance company. This is why it pays to look at the small print of your policy before you travel, if only as a last minute reminder about the extra care needed to look after your valuable items. No-one wants to lose these items in the first place but it is doubly painful to find that they are not covered when you come to claim because simple safety precautions were not followed. A final point to remember is that if your travel insurance does not cover it, then some household insurance policies cover ‘all risks.’ This means that personal belongings could still be covered but travel insurance providers will still apply the golden rule that the articles must be properly cared for whilst on holiday.

Condo Hotels - Guaranteed 15% plus Annual Return on Investment

Condo Hotels - Guaranteed 15% plus Annual Return on Investment
The Key is to Buy at Pre-Sale Pricing

Panama real estate is red hot! We have read this from sources like ABC Nightline, The New York Times, The Washington Post, International Living, and the Wall Street Journal, to name just a few briefly. And if it is true that in Dubai you will find most of the Worlds construction cranes then Panama must be the second skyline filled with cranes. There's construction everywhere. However if you try to book a hotel room in Panama City chances are you won't find one. Recently the minister of tourism Ruben Blades published a report stating that there are only 17,000 hotel rooms in Panama, not quite enough for the double digits growth in tourism to the country. He stated that there is a deficit in hotel rooms of more than 20,000 rooms. And although we have a list of New Hotels that are in development in Panama, the demand is still higher than the supply. And we all know what that represents.

Even if we take into account All the New Hotels & rooms currently in development in Panama:

34 Rooms The Holiday Inn City at Knowledge Opening March 27, 2008
102 Rooms The Radisson Colon 2000 Hotel and Casino Opening April 15th, 2008
134 Rooms The Bristol Buenaventura Opening December, 2008
103 Rooms The Radisson Summit Golf And Resort Opening April 2009
80 Rooms The Panama Marriott ext. 376 total Opening late 2009
125 Rooms The LeMeridian Hotel Opening June 2009
128 New Rooms Courtyard by Marriott ext. 248 total Opening fall 2009
800 Rooms Megapolis Condo-Apart-Hotel Opening late 2009 FIRST PHASE
300 Rooms Renaissance Panama Opening late 2010

Condo Hotels represent a great Investment option, since demand for hotel rooms in Panama is higher and growing, and the inventory at hand cannot keep up with the demand for rooms. Condo Hotels have become the NEW BOOM in Investment Opportunities. For those of us that like cash generating Investments, and returns of at least 15% annually and higher; investing in a condo hotel in Panama , Now is an excellent opportunity!

Condo-Hotel's Explained.

Condo-hotel's are just like traditional hotels, however, each hotel room unit may belong to an individual owner, whereas in traditional hotels, there usually just one owner of the entire building.

Condo-hotel owners generally sign a contract with a management company to "operate and manage" the hotel facilities and each of the individual hotel rooms. This is done on a profit share basis, with anywhere from 50% to 75% of the rental income going to the individual unit owners. Additionally, some Condo-hotel management companies also pool the remaining annual net operating profits with an additional percentage being distributed at the end of the operating year to the owners. This percentage varies but can be as much as 15%. Additionally, condo-hotel owners get to use their hotel room units for limited number of days per year. Generally between 1 and 2 weeks. So if you plan to vacation in the destination where you own a Condo-hotel unit, this would be an added benefit.
Additional Benefits.

With traditional real estate investments, you are generally looking to cover your maintenance and monthly mortgage costs if financed and hoping to generate a positive monthly cash flow and hope to make a profit from the increase in value of the property over the time you own it. As any landlord will tell you managing a rental property can be a huge headache - maintenance, dealing with Tenants, collecting rent etc., and these headaches are multiplied if the property you own is in a country different from where you reside.

With Condo-hotels, all of these headaches are taken away from you. The professional management company that is managing the hotel, takes care of all of these day-to-day issues, and you don't ever have to even think about it.

The Opportunity in Panama, is Now!

Recently there has been a huge demand for Hotel rooms in Panama due to the booming economy, increased Tourism, and plenty of Business travelers entering the country. The Panamanian Tourism Institute IPAT recently released a statement saying that based on the current growth trends of tourism there is a demand for an additional 20,000 hotel rooms over the coming years. With the current hotel occupancy rates at a steady 90% and above. And the constant infusion of foreign capital pouring into Panama, the construction boom, and mega investment projects like $5 + billion dollar expansion of the Panama Canal which is underway, The construction of the Panama International Merchandise Mart, the largest commercial structure in Latin America with 2 million square meters of construction 21,572,7820 square feet . Total investment is US$1 billion USD over a 3-year period, the development of the Panama-Pacific Special Economic Area [formerly Howard a U.S. Air Force base], a multi billion dollar real estate development underway by London Regional, and many more. Recently the company Caterpillar, which recently announced it was moving its regional headquarters to Panama, made a statement saying they alone would have a demand of approximately 12,000 room-nights per year!

Did You Know that Everyone is Looking at Your Credit Report?

Did You Know that Everyone is Looking at Your Credit Report?
Your employer probably saw a copy before hiring you and your landlord likely considered it before accepting you as a tenant. Long distance telephone carriers and cell phone companies even look at it before providing their services. And you've never even seen your own credit report? In fact, according to a recent study, less than 20% of all Americans have ever seen their credit report. Most people become concerned about their credit report only when they are denied credit. By that time, it's usually too late.

You should take a look at your credit report at least once every 2 years. This way, information is still accessible and verifiable in the case that you may need to have it corrected. You should also look at your credit report before applying for any credit. This may help to avoid any unwelcome surprises. Allowing you to look at exactly what your loan manager will look at, can prepare you for any questions.

If you've never had credit problems, you might think that you need not be concerned. But according to a recent government study, one out of every four credit reports contain errors, one out of every six contain errors that could cause denial of credit. Sometimes Credit reports are accidentally combined, and people with similar names or social security numbers actually share a credit report! It's not at all uncommon for family members to have overlapping data. Nor is it uncommon for a credit card or loan company to accidentally list you as having missed a payment.

Have you ever received a late notice or collection letter on something that you already have paid? I'm sure you made a phone call or two and straightened it out immediately. But what about the monthly report to the credit bureau? You can't help but wonder if the mistake got corrected on that report. The only way to find out what is actually on your credit report is to look at it for yourself. When you do, you may be surprised to see that your credit record looks quit different than you expected. The past and present credit accounts that you expected to see, may not be listed, and still other accounts that you did not expect to see might be listed. This is not at all uncommon because creditors are not required to report our account to a credit bureau. They are free to report only the information that they see fit.

This situation may provide for a pleasant surprise, if a past loan that became delinquent doesn't show up on your report. It may also provide a very unpleasant surprise, if something you thought unimportant was reported. Like maybe a non paid magazine subscription, or even worse, someone else's delinquent account record. The only way to find out what is on your report is to see a copy for yourself!

Here are some questions and answers that will help explain what a credit report is and how to get one.

What does it mean to have good or bad credit?

Having good credit means that according to your past creditors, your record (credit report) is clean. You made payments, and paid off your past debts satisfactorily. Having bad credit is just the opposite. Your record (credit report) shows that you have not paid off your past debts as agreed. This could mean late payments, collections, non-pays etc... This information is held at the "credit bureau", and is provided to those businesses that request it.
What is the Fair Credit Reporting Act?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act is the federal law that governs credit bureaus. The law was written to protect consumers from the obvious power that credit bureaus can have over their lives.

Do I have a right to know what my credit report says about me?

Yes, the Fair Credit Reporting Act guarantees you that right. This law also gives you the right to obtain a copy of your report for free, with a letter of denial of credit, if that denial of credit was due to information found on your credit report.

What is on my credit report?

Your credit report contains information about your credit card accounts, loans, charge accounts, and items of public record such as bankruptcies, tax liens, and judgments. It will list each account on record, who the account was with, how much was borrowed, how much was paid, and how timely the payments were made. It will also list any accounts sent to collection agencies, accounts not paid in full, and defaulted loans.

Who has access to my credit report?

According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, anyone with a "legitimate business need". However, in most cases the report is only provided to credit grantors, employers or prospective employers, landlords, and insurance underwriters.

Are ALL of my accounts listed on my credit report?

Probably not. Businesses have a right (but not the obligation) to report to any or all credit bureaus, at their discretion. Your previous credit grantors might have reported your credit experience to just one credit bureau, all three large credit bureaus, or they might not have reported it to any credit bureau. However, most large credit grantors report to TRW, Transunion, or Equifax.

What will it cost me to get a copy of my credit report?

You can acquire a credit report from the credit reporting agencies below for free. If you're located in the United States and Canada, you can do this once a year. You also may obtain a free copy of your report from any credit bureau that provided information that caused you to be turned down for credit.

For complete, up to date information how to receive a copy of your credit report, you may contact the three largest credit bureaus directly at:

TRW (800) 392-1122 Trans Union (714) 738-3800 Equifax (800) 685-1111

But, they of course do differ from these standard and above mentioned travel trailer insurance policies.

Be on the lookout for good deals. There are often some interesting and lucrative offers that come along with the policy exclusively for the new potential customers and existing policy holders. Many of the travel trailer insurance companies offer many attractive discounts for customers who have an excellent driving record and also hold multiple policies with them. They also give you various options to reduce your cash outs or paying off the premiums by escalating your deductibles. The premium of the travel trailer insurance actually depends on some specific issues regarding the policy holder, such as, - Size of the trailer
- Type of the trailer
- Your age
- Cost of your trailer
- The regularity of the use of your trailer.
- Your gender. Safety should always be your first and foremost priority. This is even more important when you are traveling, be it an exotic foreign trip or when you are simply traveling in a trailer with your family to a weekend getaway. There is absolutely nothing that can provide you with more satisfaction and peace on a vacation or camping trip than knowing your family and the investments in your house on the wheels safely protected by your travel trailer insurance.

In Search of a Flight Upgrade
Anyone who flies understands the reward of getting that ever precious flight upgrade. Although there is no guarantee on getting that upgrade, there are ways to help you achieve the golden ticket, so to speak.
The best possible way to get your flight upgrade is to become a member of the airlines club. This, coupled with using your frequent flyer miles to top up, is as close to obtaining your upgrade as you may get, without paying the absurd prices for first class tickets. Remember you can be a member of more than one airline, if you so choose.
Dress for success. It helps if you look and dress smartly. No one is expecting you to go out and buy a tuxedo, but a simple suit or just nice slacks and shirt will help. First impressions can take you all the way to the good life.
Being rude and demanding to obtain flight upgrade never works. The terminal employees will more then likely sit you right next to the bathroom just to prove a point about your attitude towards them. Always be polite. Smile when talking to the employees and always be more then happy to change seats if asked. You never know, that seat change might just be your upgrade.
Traveling alone puts you ahead of the pack also. Groups and children usually send off a red flag in the minds of the employees and, in return, getting your flight upgraded usually does not happen. But don't let that stop you from at least inquiring into whether or not other seats might be available. If the answer is no, then smile, say thank you for checking, and go on with your routine.
Always check in early. Trying at the last minute to get a flight upgrade as you are rushing to get your ticket information will not help you in the least. Get there early, be pleasant and ask politely. If nothing is available, thank the ticket agent and move on.
This is not a guarantee that you will get the flight upgrade but it never hurts to try. You might be surprised the next time you fly if you put these tips into action. You just might find yourself sitting at the front of the line with more leg room than you know what to do with while sipping wine in comfort, eating gourmet food with a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling in your soul.

Tips For Getting Cheap Airfares

Tips For Getting Cheap Airfares
Going on a trip or a holiday is an exciting event that quite a lot of us look forward to. Traveling to far off places in the country as well as to another country is possible by airplanes. It is expensive to travel by air but due to increased number of budget airlines there are now more opportunities to find cheap flights than there have ever been before Because of the high competition between airline companies, they offer discounts and other marketing strategies to attract customers.

You have to spend some time and little effort for finding the cheap airfares. Mentioned below are some tips which help in getting the cheap flight tickets –

You need to plan for your trip and book for your ticket earlier so that you can check out the best deal available. Airline ticket prices typically go up 21 days, 14 days, 7 days and 3 days before flying. Another advantage is that you can choose a better seat and view for your trip. So, planning early gives you variety of options that you don’t get when you purchase tickets quite close to your journey schedule.

Consider traveling during off days because it is always cheaper. Traveling during the off days not so bad, it can save you money and hassle from crowded tourist spots. You can enjoy your trip much better and not worry about getting an airplane ticket. People generally like to travel more frequently on Monday and Friday due to weekends. So, Monday and Friday are rush days which leads to inconvenience at the airport and also makes the tickets costlier since the flights at these times are generally overbooked. So flying form Tuesday to Thursday may help you in getting the low air fares.

You should never book the first fare you see. Start your search by visiting the major online travel providers, like bookcheapest, hotwire and compare their prices and other trip packages that they offer.

If fares go down after you've purchased your ticket, ask for a refund! but policies vary by airline -- and many do not publicize the fact that they will refund you the difference if prices go down.

It has never been easier to book a cheap flight to any place in the world. All you need to do is be resourceful and patient in looking for a website that offers affordable rates to let you fly anywhere in the world. Go online and Search Cheap Airfares .

Protect your travel costs

Protect your travel costs
It nearly always pays to get cancellation cover for your holiday trip abroad. All travel insurance policies offer this, though you may find that cover is limited, the cheaper the policy. This is one reason why some travel insurers offer a series of policies. Gold, Silver and Bronze for example is a popular method to differentiate policies as is Premier, Standard and Economy. Cancellation cover will be offered at various rates with £3,000 being a common average figure. But do look at your personal circumstances and make sure that the cancellation cover you take out is adequate for the trip you plan to take. If you are going on a cruise, then it is quite possible that you will require a higher level of cancellation cover than, say, for a package holiday to the Mediterranean. If you are booking a late minute deal, then perhaps you don’t need more than the minimum, if any, level of cancellation cover. The rule here is to buy the policy that covers your requirements and not just accept the ‘standard’ policy on offer. What is surprising is that latest research still shows that nearly half of travellers (47%) wait until the last week to buy their travel insurance. What people, perhaps, don’t realise is that cancellation cover only comes into force when you take out insurance and, if this left until the last minute, then you will not have the protection which you would have had if you had taken out travel insurance at the same time that you booked your holiday, which could be several months before the actual trip. That way, cover would be provided for a range of events, such as unexpected serious illness to the policy holder, travelling companion and quite often, illness or worse of a close relative which results in you having to cancel your trip. Whilst on the subject of cancellation, do check that the same level of cover extends to curtailing or cutting short your trip and also look out for holiday abandonment, which is closely linked to cancellation, for when, after a set period of delay at your departure airport or seaport, your policy offers you the option of not continuing your trip and being reimbursed for your costs up to a specified limit. So the best advice is that travel insurance should not be relegated to a ‘necessary evil’ purchased just before your travel but should be considered as a fundamental pre-requisite to protect your holiday investment.

Things to Do in Iceland

Things to Do in Iceland
Considering a vacation to Iceland? Here is a short list of fun things to do to make your vacation special and memorable.

Having lived in and worked in Iceland for a couple years, I have had the privilege of many memorable trips, events and excursions which may help you to cut through the clutter and plan your Iceland vacation.

Iceland is certainly and exciting and unique vacation destination and is worth visiting. This is especially true if you love the outdoors and crave wilderness and wide open spaces. Iceland is also a fun destination for its nightlife. But that won’t be the focus of this article as that was never something I got into.

First, I would recommend going during the summer months which are between late May and August, give or take a few weeks. Don’t expect warm temperatures though, the average temperature during the summer months is somewhere in the high 50s. Every once and awhile the temperature can get into the 70s but those days are few and far between. That said global warming has been good to this island nation below the Arctic Circle. People I still maintain contact with tell me that they often go weeks without rain and that it is warmer than it used to be.

Second, you should be prepared for an expensive vacation. Iceland is very pricy. Food, gas, lodging, car rentals, alcohol and just about everything in between is anywhere from double to even triple the price of goods and services in America. There are ways of saving money and I recommend taking advantage of every discount, including staying in guesthouses, shopping for and cooking your own food where possible, using pubic transportation or tour buses, and buying your alcohol in the duty free shops when you arrive. Ok, with that information out of the way, here are some fun things to consider:

Iceland has numerous glaciers and there are all kinds of tours offered that allow you to explore and experience these. You can book glacier hiking tours, jeep tours that will drive right onto the glacier, ice climbing for the more adventurous and snowmobiling tours.

Pony Trekking in Iceland is very popular. Icelandic horses are a unique breed in fact they are the only horse species with five different gates. These horses are short and stocky and quite easy to ride. There are many tour companies that offer everything from day tours to longer tours into the countryside. Many of these companies will even come and pick you up from your hotel or guesthouse.

Another fun adventure-type tour is jeep tours. There are several tour companies that offer these. They are mostly day tours. These jeeps are locally called "super jeeps" and they are specially outfitted to handle just about anything from crossing rivers to driving on glaciers. This is a fun way of getting a guided tour well beyond the reach of the bus tours. Most of these companies offer themed tours that cater to different tastes and interests, some even provide lunch.
I am not a huge fan of bus tours because they are not very personal but, I can see the appeal of being able to see some of the countries highlights in a few hours. Bus tours are probably the cheapest option and they will usually even come pick you up at you hotel or guesthouse. Many people choose the golden circle tour which will take you to Thingvellir national park, Geysir, and Gullfoss and very large and famous waterfall.

In my opinion, one of the funnest things to do in Iceland is to go on a hiking tour. The nature and scenery of Iceland is truly world class and what better way to experience this than on foot, up close and personal. There are several well-established hiking tour companies that offer all kinds of tours from day hikes to overnight backpacking trips and even longer expedition style tours. I realize that not everyone is interested in this but once you get out in nature, you’ll be glad you’re there.

The fishing in Iceland is excellent, especially the salmon fishing. The season for salmon fishing roughly coincides with the summer season. There are numerous rivers and streams all over the country some of which are right in the capital city of Reykjavik. However salmon fishing is very pricey. So this kind of activity may not be for everyone. Many celebrities and wealthy individuals come back to Iceland every year just to fish for salmon.

Rounding up the list of things to do is whale watching, and white water river rafting. I have never done these personally but know that they are popular activities. Whale watching is a day tour. There are one or two main tour operators in Reykjavik that will pick you up and take you down to the harbor where you will board a boat and spend a few hours. White water river rafting in Iceland is not for the faint of heart. The rivers are extremely cold which requires the use of dry suits.

If you are looking for things to do in Iceland, there are lots of good Iceland tours to choose from. I personally would recommend the glacier tours, they're really unique. - David Brooks

10 Tips For Cutting Cruise Costs

10 Tips For Cutting Cruise Costs
While the economy is unstable and we may think about eliminating our vacation, cruise line CEO's report that their industry is still going great.

The reason? A cruise is one of the best travel deals you can find: some 80% of your travel costs are included in the price of the cruise ticket, including a stateroom, mountains of food and entertainment.

Add to that, the popularity of "homeland cruising",departing from a nearby port instead of flying to board a ship. For example, in 2007, roughly one million people opted to take a New York cruise from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Cape Liberty (Bayonne), NJ.

The internet has turned travelers into intrepid bargain hunters seeking the very best deal possible, I'm passing along my tips for cutting cruise costs even further.

1. A terrific travel agent is critical to getting the best deals. He or she can steer you to another, in many cases, better ship and show you a discount you didn't even know about. Travel agents know when bargains become available before the public. The best way to find a terrific agent is to ask for referrals, as you would a doctor, lawyer or anyone in a service business.

2. Whenever a great deal on a cruise pops up, pounce! Sometimes a few staterooms are available a month before departure and these will go in a nanosecond

3. Run "cruise travel agent" in Google and you'll pull up hundreds of travel agencies. Sign up for weekly bargain newsletters from a bunch of them.

4.Know what a bargain is and is not. For example, cabin upgrades rarely are: today, cabins are standard in size and amenities and cruise lines will only upgrade you in the category you're already booked in. Free gratuities and/or onboard credit will save money.

5.Cruise during the shoulder season. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, ships are normally full of families. Peak season for Canada/New England cruises is September and October. You'll find the best prices outside these periods

6.Cut down, or eliminate, the cruise line's shore excursions, which are over-priced. You can arrange the same excursions on your by visiting the port's web site. For example, one cruise line offered a one-day Budget car rental for $70. By going directly to Budget, I got the same deal for $30.

7.Repositioning cruises are the very best deal of all. While a few ships sail year round from New York, most change cruising seasons in March and October/November.

8.I know it's fun to buy new clothes for a cruise, but do you really need anything? If the answer is "yes", then buy it on EBAY or head for your local discount store.

9.If you live outside the New York metropolitan area and plan to drive to New York or Brooklyn, check out alternative transportation such as Amtrak or bus service. Not only is driving in New York a nightmare, but gasoline keeps climbing and parking is very expensive.

10.Before departing, decide which on-board expenses are unnecessary. Today cruise lines get the bulk of their revenue from onboard purchases so they push the spa, art auctions and other revenue generating areas. Do you really need more T-shirts? I've eliminated massages since they're never as good as what I'll get in New York and cruise ship spas charge 40% more.

The Most Important Network Marketing News In 17 Years.

The Most Important Network Marketing News In 17 Years.

Finally Released, And Made Available To All Network Marketers.

Information That was once only accessible to Network Marketing "heavy hitters" and

the so called "gurus" is now yours. Had this Information been released sooner, the

Failure Rate in The Network Marketing Industry would not be where it is today (Between

95%-97%). The Good News Is, Network Marketing Works, Even with numbers like that

It’s still the best industry in the world to be in.

With that being said lets jump right in.

Understanding why people fail is Critical to your success in Network Marketing!

So Why Is The Failure Rate In Network Marketing So High? It’s simple really, there are

2 Basic reasons, here they are:

• Reason Number 1, You Run Out Of Money • Reason Number 2, You Run Out Of Leads or Prospects (People to market your Business or Service to who are actually and actively look for what you have to offer). Lets Face It, without Money and Prospects, It’s Game Over. That brings us to the next question.

1. Why do people Run Out Of Money? Again it’s very simple, you spend more than you make. When you get started in network marketing there are cost associated with building your business. There are Marketing and Advertising cost and Your Companies monthly product auto-ship Cost, They all cost money.

Important: If your advertising and marketing budget is spent entirely on promoting your primary business and no one joins, already your operating at a loss. For example, you have a budget of $300 per month for advertising and marketing , and your Company’s monthly product auto-ship is $200, that’s a total budget of $500 per month.

Unless you're natural born confident sales leader, and are very good at cold calling leads, going into your network marketing career you'll probably Struggle to sponsor enough Reps to offset your monthly operating cost. Don't get me wrong some people are very good at cold calling leads, but most people aren't. So what happens to most people after they've spent Hundreds or even thousands of dollars on leads , and marketing with very little success after months of effort? You Guessed it, They run out of money. They get burned out and then . . . They Close Shop.

How to prevent this from happening in your business coming up after we answer the following question.

2. Why do people Run Out Of Prospect? The answer to this question is in direct relation to question Number 1. They Run Out Of Money. Without money, you can’t advertise and market. If you can’t advertise and market, how are you going to acquire a steady flow of prospects that are interested in what you have to offer?

What if I told you there was a way to Eliminate The Lack Of Money And The Lack Of Quality Prospects. What if there was a way for you to build your network marketing business Faster, Easier, Never again Buy Leads or Cold Call, Eliminate Rejection and the Fear of Rejection, But most Importantly, have Fun doing It. If any of those things sound good to you, your going to love the next paragraph.

A Career in Palmistry? An Ivy League Grad Shatters Success Myths

A Career in Palmistry? An Ivy League Grad Shatters Success Myths
I'm going to keep this article brief. If you're like me, your time is precious and you want your information to be both useful and easily digestible. I'll aim for both.

Yes, you probably guessed it. I'm the Ivy League grad who reads palms. (I decided to write this article in response to the various and curious reactions I've received based upon that single bit of info.)

Sure, I got a great education, no doubt. But that education was not required or necessary for doing what I love to do.

Why even mention "Ivy League" grad? Who cares? Well, some people think it "means" something. Others could give a hoot. I'd like to share with you what I've come to think it means.

So here are some success myths I'd like to shatter (and some success strategies learned):

1. GO TO COLLEGE, GET A GREAT JOB

This is a common myth. If you get an advanced degree, it is statistically proven to up your earning potential. However, it is not an indicator whatsoever of your ability to choose a profession that you enjoy. At my 10-year college reunion, many people said to me, "Wow. You have the most interesting profession. And you seem so happy." A lot of my college classmates - now doctors, lawyers, investment bankers - admitted to having more money but little time to enjoy life. Many of them had also put on a lot of weight and had big circles under their eyes. Sounds like fun to me - NOT!!!

Success Strategy: Spend time searching for what you love. It WILL come if you're patient.

I could have left college and stepped immediately into a high-paying, high-stress job. Instead, I worked odd jobs until I found hand analysis. When I encountered palmistry, I said this is it! It took me 12 years. And boy! Did people give me crap along the way. They'd say, "When are you going to DO something with your life? Especially with your education!!!" I said, "When I find it." I was busy finding out who I wanted to BE.

2. IMPRESSIVE CREDENTIALS ENSURE SUCCESS

This is only true among those people who recognize the credential. My college degree seems to impress two groups of people: other Ivy League grads and people who are insecure about their own level of intelligence! Everyone else could give a hoot. As a hand analyst, no one has ever asked me where I went to college! (Of course, my palmistry degree is only meaningful to other palmists! I studied palmistry because I WANTED to.)

Success Strategy: Get the credentials YOU NEED to do what you love. If you don't need the credentials, why waste time and money on school? Go for it!

3. YOU NEED TO FINISH WHAT YOU START

Steve Jobs, creator of the Apple computer, dropped out of college officially and then unofficially audited all the classes he wanted to take, absorbing the info as his own rate, then moving onto to the next class.

Success Strategy: Follow your bliss. Consistency is highly over-rated. Finishing is only important if you're finishing what you value.
4. IMPRESSING PEOPLE IS IMPORTANT

It's a human need to be acknowledged for our accomplishments. Your neighbor has a green lawn and you hear all the compliments he gets. Maybe you've even complimented him yourself - so you strive to make your lawn greener. Your best friend is thinner than you are, so you start starving yourself. If you look at your life, I bet there is one area where you want to impress people.

I'm more interested in impressing myself. I do this by attempting to live each day according to my own values. If a green lawn gave me happiness, I'd have one. But my yard is gravel, front and back, with plants indigenous to where I live. Why? I'd rather be writing this article than weeding or paying for a gardener.

Another example. My car is paid for. This gives me much more happiness than impressing someone with my new BMW. However, I'd really love to drive a BMW. I think BMW's are snappy looking and fun to drive. And when I can pay cash for one, you'll see my driving it. (But I'm erring towards a hybrid car to honor my value of nature. Decisions, decisions.) In the meantime, my extra cash is going straight into my property investments. This is a personal choice. By choosing investing over monthly car payments, I'll soon have a lump sum of cash to buy my dream car.

Success Strategy: Determine what you value in life. Is it passion, beauty, elegance, freedom? Make a list of 10 values. Then impress yourself by living those values. Go ahead! I dare you. Dare to take the path less traveled.

My grandfather was successful. He had an eighth grade education, English was his second language and he died a millionaire. He was a joyful, exuberant man who played the spoons on his knee, wore a distinctive cap, and earned his keep as a carpenter - with a knack for property speculation. His guiding principles: Laugh often. Take nothing for granted. Remember to love.

Success is defined by one thing: YOU. Your credentials or lack thereof do NOT define your success: YOU DO! What your mom or dad told you, what your teachers told you, what your church told you, etc. - none of these sources can determine your success.

Here's to your success! Go for it! What are you waiting for?
